  • Introduction to the 2020 Tax Returns and Changes to the Tax Code

The 2020 tax forms are not that different from their 2019 equivalents, but there are differences in the forms and some changes to the tax code that financial aid officers will want to understand. This webinar will cover these changes, including a comprehensive review of the 2020 Form 1040 and Schedules 1, 2, and 3, relevant and important changes to Form 1099-MISC box 7, a new kind of IRA distribution that’s like, but not quite a rollover, and other changes that you’ll want to be aware of. The goal of the webinar is to make sure aid officers are familiar with the tax forms and changes so they can address their income adjustment professional judgments with confidence.
