Tax and Non-filer Related Comment Codes and What to Do with Them

ISIRs may be flagged with comment codes instructing the aid administrator to take action (Resolution Required!) before completing a file review or verification. In this session, we will look at some of these codes, and how to resolve them. Since the most common of these codes requires a review of a self-reported non-filing contributor’s income to make sure they really are not required to file a tax return, we’ll look at who is required to file a tax return in tax year 2023.
